The Millennium Tourist Scenic Area

The Millennium Tourist Scenic Area boasts rich cultural and scenic resources. It is the core area of Lvliang Mountain natural scenery in the northwest of Shanxi Province and the place where Liu Yuan, an emperor of the Later Han Dynasty, raised his army during the Sixteen Kingdoms period. The whole scenic area is a comprehensive service area with Xiaodongchuan River Valley and Millennium Reservoir as its scenic spots. It is divided into two parts: one is the Guji Mountain tourist area with an altitude of 2535 meters in the north, and the other is Nanyunding Mountain with an altitude of 2264 meters and the sub-alpine meadow of Xihua Town, the second largest in North China, forming an upland meadow tourist area in the east. It is a multi-functional tourist area integrating leisure tourism, vacation, sports and fitness, and wedding activities.
