Introduction to Zhike Coal Chemical Industrial Park in Zhongyang County

Based on the overarching requirement of the provincial government and the local development strategy, Zhongyang make every effort to build the Zhike Coal Chemical Industrial Park in a bid to promote the transformation and upgrading of its traditional industry.

Zhike Coal Chemical Industrial Park is located in Houshiyu village and Shizhuang village of Zhike Town, southeast of the county, with a planned area of about 6.5 square kilometers and a planned construction area of 4.3 square kilometers. The park is located in the "Golden Triangle" at the junction of Zhongyang, Fenyang and Xiaoyi, with advantages in location and transportation, and having flat terrain and few residents, suitable for industrial layout.

With the goal of constructing eco-friendly coal chemical park, the park focuses on developing fine coal chemical industry, industrial solid waste comprehensive utilization and other industries, and strives to build world-class fine coal chemical industry park and industrial solid waste comprehensive utilization demonstration zone in the resource-based area.

Fine coal chemical industry. Changzhi Lubao Group cooperates with Taoyuan Co., Ltd. to develop 5-million-ton coking project in the park, and at the same time start a 2-million-ton fine chemical project and a 500,000-ton new environmental protection project.

    Industrial solid waste comprehensive utilization industry. Liliu Group cooperates with Beijing Gelu Group and plans to invest 3 billion yuan in the project of producing inorganic aluminum and inorganic silicon with one million tons of coal gangue powder. At present, the pilot project has made positive progress.

Investment attraction and various preliminary works in the park are being promoted in an orderly manner. At present, the modification of electric and communication lines, roads and 35kV substation have been completed. This year, it will also start the construction of Zhongfen Highway and 5-million cubic meters storage reservoir in the park. It is estimated that the whole project will create 10,000 jobs by 2025 and realize 20 billion yuan of output value, which will help to double the total industrial output of the county as in 2019.
