Lyuliang VR Pavilion of Shanxi Cloud Cultural Fair highlights the charming of Culture and Industry

Lyuliang City is the birthplace of Fenjiu spirit and boasts prosperous industries and deeply integrated culture and tourism. Lyuliang VR Pavilion of Shanxi Cloud Cultural Fair, themed with Fenjiu and the revolutionary culture, attracts numerous people to browse and experience and becomes the most popular VR Pavilion. This fully showcases the city’s achievements in developing cultural industry and pushing forward the integration of culture and tourism.      

There are six sectors in Lyuliang VR Pavilion, which are revolutionary tradition, liquor industry, Cloud-Tour Lyuliang, Intangible cultural heritage, Cultural enterprises and investment projects. It wholly displays and introduces Lyuliang City’s cultural resources, industry, culture-tourism integration and cultural enterprises. The pavilion showcases diversified cultural items including Yellow River, Loess Plateau, revolutionary tradition, ecology, folk customs, business tradition, clean governance and liquor. These cultures shape the unique features of Lyuliang City, and serve as the solid cultural components for Lyuliang City's all-round and high-quality development. Visitors can click on the screen to visually experience Lyuliang City’s urban view, historical heritage, signature attraction, cultural sites, and entertainment programs. 

Lyuliang revolutionary tradition sector expounds Red Army eastward march, the history of Lyuliang as the capital of Shanxi-Suiyuan revolutionary base and President Xi Jinping’s speech on Lyuliang’s revolutionary tradition, which praised the tradition and encouraged Chinese people to carry forward it and apply it to the great course of the rejuvenation of Chinese nation. 

The liquor industry sector highlights Fenjiu, the representative liquor of Lyuliang. It has 6000-year brewing history, became famous for 1500 years, adopted distillation technology 800 years ago and formed the popular brand for 300 years. Fenjiu is the founder and living fossil of China's liquor industry and can serve as the textbook of liquor brewing technology. Fenjiu not only inherits the fine tradition but also embodies the aspiration of Lyuliang people for a better life. In recent years, Lyuliang city has been striving to construct a national fen-flavor liquor production base and a liquor-culture tourism resort.

Cloud-tour Lyuliang sector introduces Yellow River scenic spots and key tourist attractions including Pangquangou Natural Ecological Tourism Area, Cang'erhui Ecological Culture Tourism Area, Xihua Characteristic Town of Lishi District, Shangding Mountain of Zhongyang County and other Alpine Meadow Tourist Area, as well as rural tourism projects and clean governance historical sites. The city is committed to making culture-tourism as its strategic pillar industry and continuously enhancing publicity for those attractions. 

Intangible cultural heritage demonstrates the spiritual height of human being and the oldest and most vivid cultural and historical traditions. Lyuliang City, due to its unique geographical location and role played in history, has cultivated generous and diverse cultural types and accumulated a number of precious cultural relics. This sector showcases Lyuliang city’s efforts in protecting and inheriting different types of intangible cultural heritages. As so far, the intangible cultural heritage protection projects of Lyuliang city involve all categories, with 16 national-level items, 53 province-level items and 117 city-level items. There are 12 national-level and 73 provincial-level inheritors, while municipal-level inheritors reached nearly 300. Xiaoyi City, which has four national intangible cultural heritages, namely shadow play, puppets, Wanwanqiang Opera and Jiajiazhuang wedding customs, has built 39 comprehensive learning centers, exhibition halls and protection bases.  

Culture integrates tourism, and tourism promotes cultural development. Lyuliang City attaches great importance on cultural industry by fostering cultural enterprises and deepening the reforms in cultural system. Such emerging industries as digital culture, cultural entertainment, creative design, performing arts, exhibition, and advertising media have gained development momentum and promoted the transformation of the city’s cultural industry. Innovative cultural enterprises and fine culture and art projects relied on the city’s culture resources emerge in large numbers and develop on solid foundation. Besides, the cultural enterprises in the fair used the concept of "culture plus technology" fully showcasing the digital development of Lyuliang cultural industry.

Investment projects sector introduces the new achievements in culture-tourism integrated development in the new era. A series of projects representing features of the city and with development potential are displayed, including the Dadu Mountain sightseeing tourism project of Lin County, Shangding Mountain agriculture-culture-tourism comprehensive development project of zhongyang county and Wangyingzhuang rural revitalization demonstration project of Lishi District.
